ABOUT ME
Michael's Investing Journey
Michael's journey began with a Media Studies degree from the University of Bedfordshire, followed by ten years in print journalism. Throughout this period, he was actively building his investment acumen as a self-taught trader, developing the analytical skills that would become the foundation of his financial services career.
In 2005, Michael transitioned into financial services, establishing himself as a mortgage broker and investment strategist before discovering his calling in tax-advantaged investing. Since 2011, he has focused exclusively on Enterprise Investment Schemes, where he found the perfect intersection of income tax relief, capital gains deferral, and inheritance tax planning.

Michael specialises in bespoke wealth and tax strategies for clients at all stages of their financial journeys, leveraging his cross-jurisdictional experience across the Isle of Man and UK markets. His expertise encompasses the full spectrum of EIS benefits - delivering up to 30% income tax relief, capital gains tax deferral, and potential inheritance tax exemptions for qualifying investments.

Today, Michael sources and structures late-stage, high-growth EIS opportunities, focusing on established businesses with proven track records. This approach offers clients the substantial tax advantages of EIS investing while targeting companies with more mature business models and clearer paths to growth.
Michael's unique combination of journalistic communication skills, hands-on trading experience, and specialised EIS knowledge enables him to translate complex tax and investment strategies into clear, actionable wealth-building solutions for you.
